They are commonplace these days: computers, cell phones, e-mail, thumb drives, and other digital devices. Almost everyone uses them—including criminals.

Electronic devices are involved in a host of illegal behaviors, and electronic evidence is frequently found at the scene of crimes ranging from burglary to murder.
