Distance From Terrorist Residence to Target (All Groups)

A linear analysis of the distance from the residences of 423 terrorists to their targets shows that 44 percent of all terrorists examined lived zero to 30 miles away from their targets; seven percent lived 31 to 90 miles away from their targets; eight percent lived 91 to 270 miles away from their targets; 12 percent lived 271 to 810 miles away from their targets; and 29 percent lived 811 to 2,570 miles away from their targets.
