Violence Against Women in Indian Country Task Force

Program activities and studies associated with the National Baseline Study on Violence Against Women will be guided by the Section 904 Violence Against Women in Indian Country Task Force.

The task force will assist NIJ and the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office on Violence Against Women in all tasks and phases of the research.

The first Task Force meeting will be August 20, 2008.

The Task Force was commissioned under the authority of The Task Force was commissioned under the authority of Section 904 of Title IX of the Violence Against Women and Department of Justice Reauthorization Act of 2005.
