- Assessing Consistency and Fairness in Sentencing: A Comparative Study in Three States — Following presentations at the NIJ Conference and the meeting of the National Association of Sentencing Commissions, the National Center for State Courts' has released this NIJ-funded comparative study of state sentencing guidelines that examines proportionality, consistency and discrimination in Michigan, Minnesota and Virginia.
